***IMPORTANT*** Schedule due to Power Outage and UMBC builiding administrative decision to close out building at 6pm on March 4th.

NOTE: Anyone who had a Bye at 7:30pm (round-3) will be able to play round-3 now at 10:30am tomorrow (their Bye will be retracted unless they inform by 9am tomorrow replying all to this email.) 
The players who had bye in round 3 and 4 both, will play in round 5 as they intended for.

5-Round Swiss system in two separate sections (everyone plays 5 games)

Open to all.  Spectators are free and welcome!

 

Held concurrently with separate Sweet 16 Invitational, which determines the Maryland Scholastic Champion, who wins a four-year in-state fixed-dollar tuition scholarship to UMBC (worth over $45,000).

½-Point Byes Available

Up to 3 in Rounds 1–5 if requested at least 1 hour before round (before Rd. 2 for any Rd. 4–5 bye), but at most one ½-point bye in Rds. 4–5.
